Nordic walking

Nordic walking uses poles to enhance the effects of ordinary walking and is suitable for all levels

I offer walks throughout the week at varying times, using a mix of locations. From the Lizard to Truro and the North coast. I am based in the Penryn & Falmouth area of Cornwall. 

All walks last between 1 and 2 hours. I supply the poles, but if you have your own feel free to use them. 


Prices- From April 2017

You are welcome to join occasional walks £6.

Or pay for walks in advance 

6 walks £33. to be taken within 6 months

12 walks £60. to be taken within 6 months

We have nearly 8 weeks of walks this half term, Then it’s the Christmas break. If you need directions to the 2nd car park Devoran please ask.

All walks now are likely to be muddy on at least part of the route. Please wear suitable footwear and and clothes.

There will be some Saturday Morning walks, un planned as yet. I will be checking the forecasts and fitting it in around our motorhome escapes. I am also planning to swap the odd Monday to Kenwyn again, but will confirm with everyone the week before.


During the last week or so of walks I will arrange a Christmas coffee stop.

If you have a favorite cafe with a good walk near by let me know.

Devoran walks start from the Bissoe trail car park off A39.

Take the Devoran exit off the A39 roundabout at the bottom of the Carnon Downs bypass. At the first junction turn right then right again into the ‘busses only’ road. On the right is a turning after the bus stops, this is the car park

Devoran 2nd car park take the Bissoe exit off the A39 roundabout, cross the staggered crossroads, under the railway, take the next left, car park is on right. 

Twelve heads, as for second car park, except continue after rail way bridge, follow road past Bissoe cycle hire, over small bridge, next right follow road to Twelveheads, layby on right just before turn in to village. 

Falmouth Walks start from Boscawen Rd off Spernen Wyn RD.

Driving in to Falmouth follow the A39 through the town, take the right hand turn in to Fenwick Road, at the end of Fenwick road cross Spernen Wyn rd. in to Boscawen rd. We meet next to the fields where they start on the left hand side.

Mylor Bridge walks start from the quay next to the postoffice, or the Ord statter car park please contact me to find out where to meet.

Durgan walks start from the National Trust car park near the top of the road that drops from Grove hill down to Durgan Village.

Helston walks start from the Fairground car park next to Flora motors, and opposite the coronation pool.
